Laser Cutting

Laser Cutting

Laser cutting has become a prominent process for creating clean and precise cuts in metals and various other materials. Laser cutters rely upon a focused laser beam to burn or melt their way through workpiece material, resulting in clean cuts that require little or no secondary finishing. Using computer numerical control (CNC) technology, lasers can conduct sophisticated cutting operations much more efficiently than other cutting methods.

At H&H Sheet Metal & Machining, we offer expert precision laser cutting on small orders. We conduct our cutting and other machining work to exceedingly high internal standards, and we support all our work with exceptional customer service.

Our Materials

We help each client select the most appropriate material for their laser cutting project. We can cut client-provided materials, or source materials on the customer’s behalf.

We most commonly work with varying grades of aluminum, steel, and stainless steel for laser cutting projects. We can also work with copper, brass, and a range of exotic materials on a case-by-case basis. If laser cutting isn’t the right fabrication process for your ideal material, our team will let you know and recommend alternative machining methods.

Laser Cutting Capabilities

At H&H, we have a great deal of experience in precision laser cutting for small- or medium-sized parts. Our capabilities include:

  • Tolerances. Our laser cutters provide cuts within tight tolerances.
  • Thickness. We can cut virtually any material thickness.
  • Length. Our work area is 5 ft. by 10 ft. and outfitted with an automatic pallet changer. While this is suitable for most projects, we can handle some larger items on a case-by-case basis.

Secondary Services

We offer a range of secondary services that complement our primary machining capabilities. These services include:

  • Consulting. We provide consultations to help identify design improvements, improved manufacturability options, and potential cost savings.
  • Rush orders. We can accommodate rush orders for customers working within tight windows.
  • Prototyping. Our capabilities include the production of standalone prototypes to help our clients test their designs.
  • Laser engraving. Laser engraving requires different equipment and processes than laser cutting, but we also offer this service as part of our standard assembly and finishing capabilities.

Commitment to Quality

Our technicians operate in a quality-focused mindset. We believe that high-quality components are the most critical part of any system and prioritize quality in all our processes. We check for consistency, tolerances, and adherence to designs throughout the production process to ensure problems are identified early and corrected immediately.
